Billet machined aluminum gated shifter for that high end look and feel!
These gated shifter plates have been rigorously designed and revised many times to get the fit and finish just right. GRP worked with LotusTalk Forum member Varun916 to bring this product idea to reality and the time has come for you to get one in your car!
Fitment for all Toyota powered (V6 included) Elise and Exige with the standard center console.
Some small modifications may be needed for later year cars.
The design of these plates helps reduce the side to side slop of the oem shifter mechanism greatly since the shift rod is held in place at each shift. The gated design acts as a guide and really helps with the forward and backward movement of the shifter as well.
These have not been tested with aftermarket shifter assemblies, we will do our best to confirm here once they have. Purchase at your own risk if you have an aftermarket shifter assembly at this point.
No drilling required! This is a simple bolt on part that utilizes a bottom plate to create a clamping force on the center console. For install the center console will need to be removed, the shift boot will be eliminated as well as the reverse lockout parts, Optionally including a small metal collar located on the shift rod if desired.
These Gated shifter plates are all the "top mount" design, which have the three exposed countersunk bolting locations as pictured. They will come standard in a brushed aluminum finish but are also available in a satin or glossy black powder coated finish as well. You can also opt to get the Lotus logo diamond engraved into the top center portion.

Shaft collar covers are also available as an option. This is a billet aluminum beauty collar that dresses up the shifter shaft and gives a bit more of a finished look, especially on the earlier model cars that have the left over retaining ring on the shaft.
The 2007+ version allows you to retain the reverse lockout function with the collar, the 2006 and prior version does not and is purely for looks.
